Blue Gavel's America True Campaign

"TRUE BLUE"

North Star Sail Club Commodore Gary Domanski and the International Order of the Blue Gavel took on the noble endeavor of raising funds to help support Dawn Riley, skipper and long time member of North Star Sail Club, and her America's Cup campaign aboard America True. Dawn was a member of our program in her youth and a shining example of where sailing can take you.

In conjunction with this effort, a portion of the fundraising was dedicated to raising funds to provide North Star Junior Sailing with a race boat for our youth instruction program, True Blue. 

In 2003, NSJS purchased two new Optimists for its racing fleet with proceeds donated by America True, Blue Gavel, and Lolly Boston Fund contributors.  These boats are named TRUE BLUE and  are sailed by Jr. Sailing's top racers in the DRYA Interclub races and other Junior Regattas. 

To contribute to funds to be used only for the purchase of new boats for our program, please make your checks payable to North Star Junior Sailing, Inc. and note the Lolly Boston Fund in the memo section of your check.
