US SAILING'S REACH - STEM Sailing curriculum added into the education for your child.

- Our goal is to train confident sailors, education and social networking. Providing sailing instruction and water appreciation for all ages.
- Encourage team building skills, personal growth as well as promoting water safety and stewardship.
While in this sailing program your daughters and sons also have the opportunity to:
- Learn water safety and boat handling
- Sportsmanship skills, positive behavior, cooperation
- Learn about the environment - especially what is lurking in the water!

Safe boat handling, sportsmanship, and responsibility are a part of the junior sailing experience.

"Beginners " Learn to Sail: Designed for kids aged 8-18, who have limited to no experience sailing.
"Advanced" Intermediate Level: Gain advanced sailing experience without participating in a formal race program.
"Team North Star" Interclub Race Program will be reinstated in 2026. Rebuilding our Race Team is in progress!
Teaching Macomb County's Future and Current Sailors
North Star Junior Sailing is Macomb County's only community Junior Sailing Program. Our programs are open to any member of the community who has an interest in and desire to learn to sail. No yacht club membership is required!
Tuition for sailing lessons are kept affordable by offsetting overhead expenses through multiple fundraising methods organized by the board of directors and junior sailing parents, and boat donations which may be eligible for a tax credit and volunteers.
The sail boat training facility is located at North Star Sail Club. A half hour north of Detroit in Macomb County, Harrison Township Michigan offers sailing on the beautiful "Anchor Bay" of Lake St. Clair. Sheltered waters, ideal for your summer sailing lessons.
